I created a 10-minute documentary on the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case New York Times Co. v. Sullivan, which received Honorable Mention (4th place) in the National History Day International Affiliate Senior Division (2025). The film went on to win Best Student Film at the Toronto/LA Documentary Feature & Short Film Festival and earned official selections at the Paris, Toronto, and Los Angeles Lift-Off Film Festivals, the MoCo Youth Media Festival, and the FEEDBACK Female Film Festival. It also received a Merit Award from the Canada Shorts – Canadian & International Short Film Festival. Telling this story through film showed me how visual storytelling can transform complex legal history into something personal and immediate.
