NHSI-Cherubs

Northwestern University Stage Project

At Northwestern’s five-week NHSI Cherubs program, I was one of 15 students selected for the Stage Management & Design Tech track, an immersive training experience that pushed my creativity, leadership, and technical skills to a new level. I worked on Lucky, a fully realized student production, where I supported cue calling, backstage coordination, and technical operations alongside a passionate and professional team.

Mornings were dedicated to core voice and movement classes, which sharpened my physical awareness and helped me grow as a more intuitive, present actor. In the afternoons, I explored lighting, sound, and scenic design through hands-on workshops and collaborative crew work. More than anything, Cherubs showed me the power of ensemble, how every light cue, transition, and backstage decision shapes the emotional arc of a performance.
