Piano

I began playing the piano when I was six years old. I’m a pianist who sees music as more than sound, but rather a way of expressing emotion and understanding the world. Trained in the classical tradition, I approach the piano as both structure and imagination, where every phrase holds its own story. When I play, I focus on listening as much as performing, to the resonance, the silence, and what happens in between. Over the years, I’ve learned to listen to others too, accompanying the choir, the school band, and performing duets. After completing Grade 8, I earned my DipABRSM with Distinction, an achievement attained by fewer than 15% of candidates worldwide. I also teach younger students through the ABRSM system, helping them connect technique with storytelling so they can find confidence in their own sound. For me, the piano is a lifelong dialogue between effort and expression, sound and silence. I’ve participated in international competitions and earned recognition for my playing (see full awards list below).
